Adjunct Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Practicum Instructor

Gardner-Webb University invites applications for adjunct faculty to serve as graduate psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner practicum instructors in the Hunt School of Nursing.

Responsibilities include teaching and managing assigned practicum courses based on individual course requirements. Practicum courses include Psychiatric Mental Health Management Practicum 1, 2, 3, 4, and Immersion. Practicum opportunities are located in proximity to the university and/or the student's home address.

Responsibilities include teaching practicum courses in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner graduate programs, with opportunities to teach during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Essential functions and responsibilities include:

  • Teaching material from approved curriculum and Up-to-Date clinical practice guidelines.
  • Practicing strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively as a Hunt School of Nursing Doctor of Nursing Practice team member.
  • Advising students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
  • Maintaining and reporting student grades and attendance following university policies.
  • Maintaining productive contact with students and offering support, as appropriate.
  • Following the guidelines, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Credentials:
  • Doctorate in nursing with active licensure and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Qualification Requirements:
