Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Master's degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric nursing.
  • Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Credentialing with insurance panels required.
  • Professional Liability & Malpractice Insurance coverage.
  • Ability to be credentialed with commercial insurance panels.
  • Flexible availability for varying work hours.

Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients across various age groups, including children. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with psychiatric disorders. Your expertise will be essential in promoting mental wellness and improving patient outcomes in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure holistic care.
  • Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record system (experience with office ally is a plus).
  • Participate in case management and discharge planning for patients.
  • Administer medications and monitor their effects on patients.
  • Conduct vital signs assessments and perform necessary laboratory tests.
  • Engage in occupational health assessments when required.
